Rounding applies once to daily totals by default, or once to the overall total when selected. Both overtime mode uses the higher estimate; it does not add the two. This is arithmetic, not state-law compliance, taxes or payroll advice. Method & limitations.

Decimal hours are the column to use in your payroll sheet.

This free timesheet calculator includes the working-hours calculation, local saving, full-card sharing and CSV export. You do not need a paid plan or account to use these actions.

What free includes on this page

You can enter a weekly card, switch views, add split periods, specify multiple paid or unpaid breaks and read the totals without paying. CSV download, copying, printing and local saving are included rather than placed behind a trial or account screen. There is no usage counter charging for another calculation or another export. Reasonable technical bounds still apply to a card’s size so the browser can validate and share it safely; those safeguards are not a paid feature tier or a request to upgrade.

No account also means no cloud account features

An account-free tool does not provide a shared employee database, manager approvals or automatic synchronization between devices. Your browser remembers entries locally for this tool. If you move to another browser profile or clear site data, that local record may no longer be available. Export a checked copy when you need a durable result, or deliberately transfer a full-card link. The absence of registration is useful for a quick independent check, but it should not be mistaken for the features of an attendance or payroll service.

Keep the free result useful and verifiable

Start with actual clock-in and clock-out pairs, then review the default 30-minute unpaid break on each day’s first period. A blank day contributes nothing. A missing end time is flagged rather than guessed. Separate morning and evening work into different periods and remove a default lunch deduction when their gap already excludes it. Each additional period starts without an automatic break. These checks matter regardless of price: a free export is only useful if its source times, deductions and selected calculation rules are the ones you intended.

Read both time formats without a conversion add-on

The results show the duration in hours and minutes and in decimal hours at the same time. You do not need another paid converter to turn half an hour into 0.5 hours. The table shows common fractions; minute-based totals are retained internally and decimal displays use two places. Enter an hourly rate when you want a simple gross-pay estimate. That estimate applies one rate and the selected overtime multiplier, with the final amount rounded to cents. It does not calculate tax withholding or other deductions.

Choose rules deliberately rather than buying a label

Default overtime uses net hours above 40 per fixed workweek, with two weeks evaluated separately. Daily and combined estimates are available, and None switches overtime off. Rounding is optional and happens on daily or overall totals rather than individual punches. The calculator provides arithmetic, not legal or compliance advice. Whether work, breaks or overtime are payable depends on the actual arrangement and applicable rules. There is no premium checkbox that makes a simple estimate a complete jurisdiction-specific payroll calculation, so verify the rules you need independently.

Export without handing the records to an account service

Download CSV creates a local file with period rows and numeric decimal-hour totals. Copy summary gives spreadsheet-friendly text, and Print produces a report. The current implementation does not upload calculation data or include analytics and advertising scripts. A full-card link intentionally contains the records in its fragment, so anyone holding it can read them. Share the result carefully and retain backups when needed. For site questions, use the Contact page; include an anonymous example rather than unnecessary employee identities or payroll documents.

Frequently asked questions

Is CSV export part of the free calculator?

Yes. Download CSV, Copy summary and Print are included without a paid account or trial. You can repeat a calculation and export another checked result without a payment step. Technical card-size safeguards exist for safe browser processing and sharing, but they are not an export subscription or an upgrade requirement.

Does free mean my records are saved in an account?

No. You do not create an account, and your entries are stored locally in this browser rather than synchronized through a cloud profile. Export a backup or deliberately share a full-card link when moving devices. Clearing browser storage or changing profiles can remove access to the local saved card.

Will the pay estimate include taxes or deductions?

No. The estimate multiplies regular hours by one entered rate and overtime hours by that rate and the selected multiplier. It does not calculate withholding, benefits, reimbursements or other payroll adjustments. Verify the applicable rules and use an appropriate payroll process when you need a complete payment calculation.

What happens if I have not clocked out yet?

An unfinished period is marked incomplete and excluded from the total until both times are valid. Leave the clock-out blank while you confirm the actual ending time. The calculator does not run an attendance timer or guess when you stopped working. Other completed periods continue to count normally.

Can I download the result for a spreadsheet?

Yes. Download CSV gives you individual periods, decimal hours, hours and minutes, and totals. The decimal-hours column contains numbers suitable for spreadsheet calculations. Copy summary produces tab-separated rows for pasting, while Print gives a readable report. Check your times and breaks before using any exported figures for payroll.

Do I need an account, and where are my entries saved?

You do not need an account. Calculations run in your browser, and entries are saved locally on this device rather than uploaded. A full-card sharing link contains the records in its fragment; anyone holding it can read them. Export your own backup before clearing browser storage or switching devices.
